Lot Description

A Liberty & Co Ltd small circular silver bowl, possibly by Oliver Baker, decorated below the moulded rim with a continuous band of green and blue enamel foliate motifs, the whole on a spreading circular foot.  Hallmarked Birmingham 1910. Diameter measures 4 3/4 inches (12cm), weight 6.94 ozt (215 grams).

The bowl displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.  There are some deeper more evident scratches to the interior base of the bowl and also various pin prick marks in the metal.  There are various other minor nicks and dints, especially around the main rim and foot rim.  The enamelled decoration is generally okay, although there are some minor chips and cracks in places.  Maker's mark is slightly rubbed but still legible, hallmark is clear and legible.
