A Victorian 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch by J. W. Benson, the white enamel dial having black Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock all surrounded by an outer minute track, the plain case hallmarked London circa 1881, fitted with a signed gilt full plate movement having ratchet tooth lever escapement and bi-metal compensation balance. Case diameter 51mm. Total weight 120gms.

J.W. Benson 18ct gold pocket watch, key wind movement is currently functioning, tiny marks and scratches to the white dial with Roman numeral hour markers, tiny marks also to the blue coloured hands, bending to the minute hand, light scratching to the glass consistent with general use, engraved monogram to the back of the case, scratching and tiny dints to the 18ct gold case and pendant from general use.
