Lot Description
A Victorian 9ct gold keyless wind open face fob watch, the white enamel dial having black Roman numeral hour markers surrounded by an outer minute track, the case hallmarked Chester circa 1897, with monogram to rear, fitted with an unsigned gilt movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement and bi-metal compensation balance. Case diameter 39mm. Total weight 43gms.

Condition Report
A Victorian pocket watch, keyless wind movement is currently functioning, dial appears to be in good condition with just a small amount of specks being visible to the dial, there are small chips and nibbles to the paint work to the edges of the dial, hands appear in good condition, blue paint work is darker in patches of discolouration but this is not noticeable, glass appears to be in good condition, there are light surface scratches to the surface of the glass and very minor chips to the edges of the glass, case has many light surface scratches and marks as a result of wear, there is a personal engraving to the back of the pocket watch which reads 'MS' in a script font, hallmarks are slightly rubbed to the pendant.
