Lot Description
A turn of the century silver key wind open face pocket watch by Ford & Galloway Ltd, the white enamel dial with hourly applied Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, bordered by a minute track, the round case hallmarked Birmingham 1901, milled band, engine turned decoration with vacant cartouche to the rear, fitted with signed full plate movement with a ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 53mm. With a silver curb link Albert chain with T-bar, hallmarked London 1907. Length 29.5cm. Together with a continental metal key wind open face pocket watch and a silver curb link Albert chain with T-bar. Case diameter 50mm.

Ford & Galloway pocket watch, movement is currently not functioning, dial has many cracks to the surface, hands appear slightly discoloured with some light surface marks, glass has many surface scratches and marks giving the glass a hazy appearance, case has many scratches and scuffs as a result of wear, design to case back is rubbed, hinge is in working order but glass front does not lock securely into place.
Second pocket watch, movement is currently not functioning, dial has many marks and scuffs to the surface, hands are in good condition with light marks visible to the surface when viewed with an eye glass, glass has many marks to the surface and would benefit from a clean, case has many surface scratches and marks from use, decorative design to back has rubbed to the edges, metal is heavily tarnished.
Albert chain, has general scratches from use and metal is heavily tarnished so would benefit from a clean.
