Lot Description
A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch, the white dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track, subsidiary seconds dial positioned to six o'clock, the round case with milled band and vacant cartouche to rear, hallmarked Birmingham 1882, fitted with unsigned full plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 46mm.

Silver open face pocket watch, movement is currently not functioning, dial has a large chip to the centre of the dial, there are some cracks to the bottom of the dial and some small specks and marks to the dial, hands are discoloured in places and there are chips to the hands, the minute hand is slightly bent out of shape, glass has many surface scratches and marks which is from use, to the centre of the case there is a section of deeper more significant scratches which give a hazy appearance, case has many surface scratches and marks as a result of wear, case back is showing some dents and decorative marks are rubbed, hall marks to pendant are rubbed, watch would benefit from a clean.
