Lot Description

A base metal military issue open face keyless wind Helvetia pocket watch, the white dial with Arabic numerals, quarterly with luminous inserts, bordered by a minute track, subsidiary seconds dial positioned to six o'clock and an outer minute track, the plain case marked with a British broad arrow below GS/TP P71712, fitted with a signed fifteen jewel movement with club tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 52mm.

Helvetia pocket watch, the keyless wind movement is currently functioning, the dial appears to be in a quite pleasant condition as it does not have any noticeable scratches, there is a small crack, noticeable under closer inspection by the second hand, hands are slightly damaged as the luminous inserts are cracking and coming off, glass is badly scratched to the whole surface, case seems to be in the same state, some of these scratches are quite deep and darkened, especially to the case back, which shows also some damages to the sides due to opening of the case.
