Lot Description
A late Victorian 18ct gold emerald and diamond five-stone ring, circa 1880. The graduated old European-cut diamonds with rectangular-shape emerald spacers to the pierced gallery and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.20ct. Hallmarks partially rubbed.

Condition Report
The ring is in overall fair condition. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with the age of the piece. The assay stamp and date letter to the hallmark has worn away. There is a file mark to the one shoulder. The diamonds are bright and the claws secure. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the emerald visible with magnification, there is also a chip to the edge of one of the emeralds. The emeralds vary in colour, one paler in tone. Ring size G.
