Lot Description

A late Victorian turquoise locket, circa 1880. Of oval outline, the faceted turquoise set within geometric canetille decoration to the similarly-set suspender. With French assay mark. Length 4.6cms. Weight 13.6gms. With later added brooch fitting.

Condition Report

The locket is in overall good condition. The brooch attached to the reverse is a later addition. The pendant suspender is also a later addiction. Several of the turquoise has been replaced. They do not match the originals. Bruising can be seen to the back of the locket. Light, tarnish, scratches and scuffs can be seen, general wear.
