Lot Description
A late 19th century sapphire and diamond brooch, circa 1880. The oval-shape sapphires to the rose cut diamond line and oval openwork surround. One diamond deficient. Stamped 585. Length 3.6cms.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall fair condition. One diamond is missing and would need to be replaced. The sapphires are fairly well matched, there is a shallow chip to one of the sapphires. There is discolouration to the outer surround, scratches and indentations. The back pin is metal and has possibly been replaced.
