Condition Report
The lot is in fair to good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The garnet has some small surface blemishes and a large crack across the centre. The glazed ivory panel has the intials HB painted on it. Some of the links have deep scratches and/or small dents and very small soft solder repairs. There is minor verdigris visible to the front from the base-metal glazed panel surround. The safety chain is a later addition. Length 17cm. The brooch has a ruby and split seed pearl cluster. The ruby has a large crack. The split seed pearls appear moderately well matched with some staining and damage to the nacre. Pearls untested. The clasp and pin are base metal replacements. The brooch has small holes of wear to some edges. The brooch shows some discolouration and would require professional cleaning. Length 3.1cm.
