Lot Description

A Victorian 18ct gold ruby and split seed pearl cluster ring. Of marquise-shape outline, the oval-shape ruby within a split seed pearl surround to the tapered band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1873. Weight 3.45gms.

The ring is in overall good condition. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with the age of the piece, the inner hallmark and Victorian registration mark is clear. There is a visible small chip to the facet edge of the ruby just visible with the unaided eye, the outer split seed pearls are in good condition and well matched, there are slight blemishes to some. Ring size M1/2.
