Lot Description
An early 20th century diamond, demantoid garnet and ruby wreath brooch. Each ruby, diamond and demantoid garnet trefoil spaced by three old European-cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight 0.60ct. Unhallmarked. Diameter 2.5cms. Weight 6gms.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall good condition. The diamonds are bright and lively. Nibbles can be seen to a few of the diamonds. There is minor abrasion to the ruby and demantiod garnet facet edges. Horse tail inclusions can be seen within the garnets, under magnification. All stones are well matched. Many of the claws have worn thin and will need attention. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen, in keeping with age.
The brooch clasp and pin are replacements.
