A late Victorian split seed pearl mourning brooch circa 1890. Of oval-shape outline, the vacant panel within a split seed pearl surround. Unhallmarked. Length 3.8cms. Weight 3.6gms.

Overall condition good with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The split seed pearls appear fairly well matched, all with minor surface blemishes, some possible later replacements. Clasp fitting in good working order.
