Lot Description
Late Victorian silver dressing table tray of oblong shape, ornately embossed all over with scrolling foliage, flowers and a diaper pattern surrounding a raised initialled cartouche to the centre, the wide everted rim pierced and embossed with similar motifs and with a scroll border. Hallmarked Henry Matthews Birmingham 1900. Maximum length measures 12 inches (30.5cm), weight 8.26 ozt (256.8 grams).

Condition Report
The tray displays general wear and tarnishing and various surface marks and scratches. Some minor nicks and dints in places and also a number of small holes in the embossed decoration but overall it is generally okay. There are a couple of small cracks in the metal, at the point where the base of the tray joins the wide rim. There cracks are directly below the central cartouche. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
