Lot Description

George III silver oval teapot with foliate engraved borders, personal initial engraving to the wreath surround cartouche,  flush hinged lid and fruit wood handle. Hallmarked John Emes London 1799. Maximum height measuring 6 1/4 inches (15.5 cm), weight 14.7 ozt (459 grams).

The teapot displays heavy tarnishing along with some noticeable wear and tear. The finial is at fault and would require attention. Minor hair line cracks visible to the handle. Repair visible under the spout. Dent to the underside. A little deterioration to the rim surrounding the lid. The hallmarks to the underside are clear and legible.
