Lot Description

A modern cased set of ten silver commemorative Queen's Beasts teaspoons, with varying heraldic gilded terminals, made to commemorate the Silver Wedding Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.  Hallmarked William Comyns & Sons Ltd (Richard Comyns) London 1972, no 971 in a limited edition of 2,000 (to be sold with a small portfolio of information entitled 'Elizabeth Our Queen').  Gross combined weight 10.7 ozt (332.9 grams).

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. There is general tarnish/discolouration to the silver and silver gilt finials. There is minor wear to some of the additional leopard head marks . The stems are also struck to the reverse with the monogram WJ and also with C.C., some of which are poorly struck. The box and additional information are in good condition with scuffs to the box.
