Lot Description

A pair of Victorian silver bonbon dishes of shaped navette form, the raised edges with pierced diaper decoration amongst embossed flowers, scrolls and shells. Hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd Sheffield 1895. Length of each measuring 7 1/8 inches (8 cm), gross combined weight 7 ozt (220 grams).

The bonbon dishes display general scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing and remnants of previous polish therefore a professional clean and polish would be advisable. Also marked to the underside Flavelle Sydney along with further code numbers. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
