Lot Description
Victorian silver vinaigrette of rectangular form, shaped scroll edge and scroll engraving with initial engraved cartouche and suspension loop, the vinaigrette opens to reveal a gilt interior with floral engraved grille with simple hole piercing. Hallmarked James Fenton Birmingham 1856. Length measuring 27 mm, weight 9.6 grams.

Condition Report
The vinaigrette displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The hinges are in good working order. General wear to the gilt interior. There has been a slight stretching/twisting of a couple of the pierced holes to the grille. The hallmarks are lightly rubbed but easily legible.
