Lot Description
American Art Nouveau vesta case, marked sterling, the rectangular case embossed with stylised flowers, whiplash lines and central bulldog's head. Made By Gorham Mfg. Co 1912, pat 1910 and numbered B2203. Height measuring 64 mm, weight 23 grams.

Condition Report
The American vesta case displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The lid when closed does rise a little in position and does not sit flush. The interior is heavily tarnished. The embossed bulldog may be a later addition, the cartouche to the front is vacant and bears a few dints. The American marks to the rim are clear and legible.
