Condition Report
The cockerel’s head is in good to fair condition - the white metal has patches of yellow colour as if the case had been gilded but detail now worn, possible that both of the paste eyes have been replaced as one orange and the other red paste is slightly off centre of the setting, the case is opened by pressing the beak together and the mechanism is in good working order though the case does not close fully. The champagne bottle measures 77mm in length and is showing some denting, discolouration and general wear/tear, the inscribed label is a little loose and the hinge is stiff and does not close fully. The fish case measures 72mm in length and the metal is showing wear and tear, one paste eye is missing, the opening mechanism is in working order but the mouth of the fish does not fully close.
