Lot Description

Edwardian silver tea caddy of shaped oblong form with convex sides, the inset rectangular neck with gadrooned border and the hinged cover with domed centre and spiral cone finial, the whole on four paw feet.  Hallmarked Mappin & Webb London 1908. Height including finial measures 4 1/4 inches (10.5cm), weight 6.22 ozt (193.4 grams).

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. There is a more noticeable, long shallow dent to the reverse. The lid does not close securely. There is general discolouration with areas of black spot and liquid cleaner.
