Lot Description

A faux tortoiseshell ear-trumpet

Circa 1920s, in the form of a euphonium or similar, 4", (10cm) high, together with a small tortoise etui or necessaire case

With sloping hinged cover and sides, perhaps converted from a thimble-case, now with ivory divisions to the paper-lined interior, 2", (5cm) high, (2)

Export issue: Yes

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

Ear-trumpet: good condition.

Etui: chip to one back corner of cover. Two chips to back edge of cover. The locating clip to the underside of the cover is missing. The cloth-lined underside is ragged. There are two divisions missing to the interior. Given the size and shape it may originally have been fitted and plush-lined for a thimble.
