Lot Description

A Third Reich-era 'Hitler Youth' dagger

The 5.25" (13cm) blade stamped "CARL WUSTHOF SOLINGEN GLADIATORWERK" and "GES. GESCHUTZT", the textured grip inset with an enamelled red and white lozenge with Swastika motif, 9.5", (24cm) long overall, with metal scabbard, together with a pair of field-glasses stamped 'PRIMA OPTIK', in hide case of "WALBRECHT ELBERFELD", (2)

Dagger - general light tarnishing and pitting to blade. Enamel lozenge slightly loose to handle. Some verdigris to copper centre of lozenge. Signs of wear to pommel and grip. Scabbard much worn and pitted. Hide suspension is also worn and is missing its stud.


Glasses - general rubbing to brasswork, heavy dints to rims around lenses. Wear and scuffs to hide case.
