A unusual limited edition yew-veneered longcase clock

Having a 9-inch silvered broken-arched dial centred by a spiral cut-out track for a ball bearing, engraved with Roman numerals in cruciform and framed by a repeating minute band with four sets of ten-minute divisions, beneath a subsidiary seconds dial and inscriptions "Dr B. Franklin inv. Philadelphia Ca. 1780" and "G. H. Bell fecit Winchester Ca. 1971", the yo-yo wound eight day single-train timepiece movement with four knopped pillars, anchor escapement and inline four-spoke wheelwork between A-shaped plates, the case of broken-arched form with ogee surmount and brass ball finial over caddy-moulded hood and trunk, the latter with broken-arched door, on a plain base with plinth, raised upon an adjustable platform, sold with key and brass rod pendulum, 80", (203cm) high

Very slight dial tarnishing. Some minor scuffing to case, which retains its original 'French polish' type lacquer. Otherwise in very good order.
