William Toplis, (1857-1942)
"Sunlit Rocks, Sark", a circular miniature watercolour, signed, fully inscribed verso, 0.9", (2.4cm), in gilt card surround

In 1883, the Sheffield-born artist William Toplis arrived in Sark for a holiday, and remained there for the rest of his life. He produced 'The Book of Sark', twenty-one views of the island published in 1908.
