An unusual early 20th century oak 'vanishing cabinet' desk. The rectangular top with lifting concealed inlaid twin door stationary cabinet, opening to reveal a leather writing surface, the base with three fitted frieze drawers. The whole upon square block tapered supports terminating with brass sockets and ceramic castors. Engraved detail to lock 'Patent Vanishing Cabinet 7549'. 32" (81.5cm) width, 33" (84cm) height
