Lot Description
A late Victorian brooch and garnet cluster ring. The brooch of circular outline with plaited and rope twist target design, cannetille and bead detail, together with a rose-cut garnet cluster ring with replacement 9ct gold band. Band with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1876.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The ring has a replacement band. The garnets have moderate facet-edge abrasion. There are visible areas of soft solder. Ring size O 1/2. The brooch has small pinhole dents to the reverse. The pin clasp is a replacement with a small hole and poor quality repair. The gilt surface shows minor wear. The glass panel is possibly not original. Diameter 3.7cms.
