A sapphire bar brooch. The oval-shape sapphire to the asymmetric shoulders and tapered bar. Accompanied by a report from AnchorCert stating that the sapphire is of Sri Lankan origin and shows no evidence of treatment. Report 1/23941-001, dated 14th November, 2011. Estimated sapphire weight 6.85cts. Unhallmarked. Length 8.8cms. Weight 9.17gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The sapphire is very slightly purplish blue hue with moderate tone and saturation. The sapphire displays some colour zoning face-up. The sapphire has fingerprint and crystal inclusions with some very small surface reaching crystals and fractures. The sapphire has minor facet-edge abrasion. The sapphire measures 12.50 by 10.42 by 6.60mms. The brooch is unhallmarked.
