A Victorian diamond riviere necklace, circa 1870. The sixty-four graduated old-cut diamonds each within a claw setting to the partially concealed clasp. Estimated total diamond weight 20cts, H-J colour, SI1-P1 clarity. Stamped 835. Length 38cms. Weight 21.8gms.

Condition Report
The Victorian diamond riviere necklace is in overall good condition. The diamonds are bright and lively. They are well matched in size, colour and cut. Light nibbles can be seen to the girdle of some of the diamonds. A few nicks and chips can be seen to the surface of the small diamonds. The settings appear secure. The claws may need checking as some have worn a little thin. Light tarnish scratches and scuffs can be seen, general wear.
The central diamond measures approximately 6.8 by 4mm. Estimated weight of 1.18cts

Estimated individual weight of medium diamonds 0.40ct
The central setting is stamped 835.
The clasp is set with three small diamonds.
