Lot Description
An assortment of composite 19th century foil-backed garnet jewellery. To include a pendant designed as a circular-shape foil-backed garnet oval, flanked by oval-shape foil-backed garnets suspended from a rectangular-shape foil-backed garnet triangle, together with a pair of vari-shape foil-backed garnet pendants. Unhallmarked. Lengths 2.5 to 4.2cms. Weight 6.1gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in fair to good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The foil-backed garnets are moderately well matched with typical inclusions. Some of the garnets are heavily included. Some of the garnets have moderate facet-edge abrasion and one has a large crack with associated chips. The larger pendant shows repairs to the mount.
