ROLEX - an 18k gold automatic gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Date watch head circa 1963, the silvered sunburst effect dial with hourly applied gilt batons, bordered by a minute track, date aperture positioned to three o'clock, fluted bezel, tonneau shaped case, reference number possibly 1503, rubbed serial number possibly 977112, calibre 1560. Case width 34mm.

Rolex watch head, automatic movement is currently functioning however the second hand is not showing a consistent sweep and could require attention, dial appears to be in good condition, hands have small marks, the glass is scratched and would only polish out with difficulty, deeper marks may remain, case has scratches and marks as a result of general wear, case also shows some dints with more noticeable dints to the left hand side, top right lug has a larger more noticeable dint to the underside, back of the case shows a visible dint.
Due to the opening of the case back we recommend that this watch be resealed by an authorised technician before use near water.
