A ruby and sapphire snake necklace. Designed as an engraved serpent head with graduated oval-shape rubies and a pear-shape sapphire to the articulated chain simulating snakeskin. Unhallmarked. Length 38cms. Weight 32.9gms. See Plate 6.

Condition Report
The overall condition is good. There are some minor dents and scratches in keeping with general wear. The rubies are a light pinkish red with good saturation. Some have rubbed facet edges. The sapphire is a medium blue with good saturation. All the stones are within a closed back setting
