A diamond and ruby wreath and bow brooch. The old cut diamond cluster within the similarly-cut diamond wreath surround to the square-shape ruby and old-cut diamond bow surmount. Estimated total diamond weight 2.85cts, H-I colour, SI1-P1 clarity. Length 3.5cms. With fitted Garrards box. See front cover and Plate 1.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Minor scratches in keeping with wear. The diamonds are bright and well matched. The two larger stones have dark visible natural inclusions. Rubies pinkish red, good saturation. There is a hinge to the surmount although it is not easy to open.
