Lot Description
An early 20th century demantoid garnet and split pearl clover brooch. The circular-shape garnet to the split pearl leaves, may be worn as a pendant. Length 2.7cms. See Plate 4.

Condition Report
The lot is in fair condition. There are scratches to the piece in keeping with overall wear. There is heavy abrasion to the facet edges of the garnet, visible with the unaided eye. Some of the split pearls are a little more grey/pink in colour and others with a cream body colour. There are cracks to the nacre of some of the split pearls visible with magnification. There is a file mark to the back of the piece. The pin and catch is secure. Weight 8.1gms. Please see important notices in the front of the catalogue for coloured gemstones.
