A late 19th century agate mourning ring. The shield-shape agate hinged panel to the tapered black enamel shoulders and ridged band. Personal inscription to inner lid reads 'My own Helen'.,

The lot is in fair/poor condition. There are scratches to the piece in keeping with overall wear. There is damage to the black enamelled shoulders, there are join marks to the edging of the lid and some scratches to the agate. There is dirt to the inside of the panel. There are some dents and splits to the inner back of the band. Ring size L. Weight 4.3gms.
