A Victorian 18ct gold chalcedony mourning ring. The shield-shape chalcedony to the black enamel lattice style shoulders and plain band. AF. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1869. Personal inscription to inner band reads 'Thos Adkins Obi March 31 1874 at 57'.

Condition Report
The lot is in fair condition. There are scratches to the piece in keeping with overall wear. There is some damage to the black enamel shoulders, the fleur di lis section to each shoulders chipped. There is a chip to the edging of the chalcedony. The inner hallmark is clear. Ring size K. Weight 4gms. Please see important notices in the front of the catalogue for coloured gemstones.
