Lot Description

A late Victorian ruby and diamond ring. The circular-shape ruby and vari-shape diamonds to the scrolling shoulders and tapered band.

The lot is in overall fair condition, there are slight scratches in keeping with general wear. The back band of the ring is 22ct gold hallmarked Birmingham, 1884, the band has been added to the head at a later date. The head of the ring appears to be 9ct gold. The rubies are well matched, one of the diamonds has possibly been replaced, as one is a diamond point and the other as single-cut. The 22ct gold hallmark is worm yet legible. Ring size R.
