Lot Description
A 17th century Stuart crystal brooch. Of rectangular outline, the faceted rock crystal to the gold thread initial cypher. Length 1.8cms. See Plate 5.

Condition Report
The lot is in fair/poor condition. There are scratches to the piece in keeping with overall wear, the back pin and catch has been replaced at a later date and the safety chain loop attached with lead solder. The back panel to the catch has also been replaced. There are dents to the back casing. There is some slight abrasion to the facet edges of the rock crystal and slight scratches to the facet faces. The thread detail is in good condition. Weight 4.7gms.
