Lot Description

A 17th century Stuart crystal slide. Of oval outline, the faceted rock crystal compartment containing woven hair with an overlaid wirework initial cypher. Length 2.2cms. See Plate 5.

The lot is in overall good condition, there are slight scratches in keeping with general wear. There are some dints to the back of the slide. The collet surround to the rock crystal is uneven in places, the outer detail a little rubbed. There is some abrasion to the rock crystal visible with magnification. Weight 6gms.
