Lot Description
A mid Victorian coral bracelet, circa 1850. The coral panel carved to depict a Bacchante within an openwork scrolling surround to the coral gloved hands, with turquoise detail and coral links. Length 17cms. See Plate 5.

Condition Report
The bracelet is in overall excellent to good condition. The open work detail to one of the gloved hands is missing to one side. The gilt outer scroll work, gilt detail to the gloved hands and gilt links are in overall good condition. A small amount of wear can be seen to them. Some of the gilt links inter-spacing the coral links are slightly stretched. The coral is intricately carved. The clasp and safety chain are in good working order. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen, in keeping with age.
