Lot Description

A mid 19th century green beryl brooch. The rectangular-shape green beryl to the scroll engraved surmount and photo back panel. Length 3.5cms.

The lot is in fair condition. There are scratches to the piece in keeping with overall wear. There are chips and areas of abrasion to some of the green beryl visible with magnification, some of the collets appear worn and would need to be secured. There are scratches and areas of discolouration to the surmount. The catch has been replaced at a later date with a back panel, there is visible lead solder. Weight 8.8gms.
