A late 19th century French 18ct gold mirror locket. Of oval-shape outline with grooved surface detail and inner mirror panels. French assay marks. Length 6.8cms. Gross weight 28.5gms. With fitted case. See Plate 3.

Condition Report
The locket is in overall good condition. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen to the front and back panels, in keeping with age. The mirror panels appear to be original. A scratch can be seen to one mirror, possibly from the wear of sliding the locket open and closed. One mirror is a little loose and may need securing. A few nicks and wear can be seen to the edges of both mirrors. The French assay mark is to the matching suspender.
