Lot Description

An early-mid 20th century opal doublet pendant.  Of foliate design, the oval opal doublet cabochon suspended from a similarly designed opal doublet surmount to the trace-link chain. Chain stamped 9c. Length of pendant 4.7cms. See Plate 2.

The opal doublets are visually blue in colour. Play-of-colour is violet through to orange, uneven. Light to moderate damage to edge of opal doublets.  Some moderate scratches to front of mount. 5.76gms. Please see important notices in the front of the catalogue for coloured gemstones.
