Second World War medals awarded to WK Foulkes, comprising Pacific Star, 1939-45 Star, War Medal, Defence Medal, with boxes of issue, and a fascinating archive of mostly original photographs taken while a rating on HMS Duke of York 1945-1946, some forty photographs in all, mostly original, includes scenes of the Japanese surrender in Tokyo Harbour, return journey via Japanese surrender of Hong Kong, crossing the equator, and full ship’s company; together with AB Foulkes’s pacific issue shirt, almost as new. Medals and photographs good condition, interesting archive material.(Lot).
