Lot Description

A 19th century treen snuff box modeled as a shoe. Having a sliding cover over pique work decoration to upper and sole. 4" x 1.5" (10cm long x 4cm high), together with a carved ivory needle case of tapering form, decorated with scaly dragons 6.25" long (16cm).

Shoe - slight damage to edges of the sliding cover and to the heel. Scratches and marks commensurate with age and use.

Needle case -  has damaged screw threads to the (incomplete) covers at each end. The sides have cracks and splits.
