Lot Description

An unusual 19th century bronzed desk stand modelled as a teasmade. The half length body with a hinged opening head revealing a storage well believed to be for ink, the removable arm with concealed plain seal, the tray with removable tea pot having screw threaded cover and removable slop bowl. The whole upon a shaped white marble base. 5” (12.75cm) tall.

The figure is loose from the marble base, the marble base is drilled with one large hole and two small holes. There are two small holes in the tray without fittings on the tray is a bowl which may have has a removable cover which is now missing.
