Lot Description

Two early Victorian needlework samplers by members of the Crossley family. The first signed 'Anne Crossley Hitcote1837', worked with a house beneath text within a floral border. The second signed 'Catherine Crossley Hitcote 1839', worked with figures seated upon a bank. Each sampler on a wooden stretcher, 14" x 13" (35.5cm x 33cm) unframed.
