A mid 19th Century needlework map sampler. Anonymous, detailing English counties by initial, plus the coastline of Ireland and France, some named coastal channels and rivers, the Isles of Man, Anglesey and Wight plus Land's End, worked in green, red and yellow threads, 12.5" x 11", (32 x 28cm), framed and glazed

Light brown spotting to edges, slight staining to lower edge, general brownish discolouration to backing. Frame regilded and now rather  grubby with light flaking. No moth holes or other damage.
