Lot Description
A good late 19th French gilt brass four-glass mantel clock by Deniere, Paris. Having a 6" white-enamelled convex Arabic dial inscribed "Deniere Ft. de Bronzes A Paris", within floral swags, the two-train movement, half-hour striking on a bell, stamped "JA. DENIERE A PARIS 2531 JUVENAUX", and with Samuel Marti exhibition stamp, the case having a stepped acanthus-cast cornice over conforming front and side panels, the former with ormolu ribbon, scroll, branch and tassel motifs, over an anthemion and palmette frieze raised upon original bleu turquin marble plinth, 19.5", (49.5cm) high.

Dial - tiny chip at 2 o'clock.
Movement - very good.
Case - The rectangular plate to the roof is darker than the rest of the body, is tarnished, and is loose. Otherwise excellent.
