A numbered early Victorian mahogany wall clock, D Jones, Newtown (Powys), No. 224. Having a 12" Roman dial inscribed 'D JONES 224 NEWTOWN', the gut-driven fusee movement with four knoped pillars and shouldered plates, the case with convex glazed spun bezel, plain curved surround and box with side and base door, 16" (40.5cm) diameter

Dial - flake chip between I and II. Further minor flakes. Minute hand missing. Slight flaking around winding square.
Movement - anonymous but good order
Case - dial surround good. Underside of box is veneered but sides are not. Side door may be later. Strip of veneer replaced to underside, plus some knocks. Minor losses near escutcheon. One peg missing, another jammed in
